UPCOMING MEETINGS
Details for future meetings are posted as soon as they are arranged and finalised, on this page and also on our Facebook page. If you'd prefer to receive e-mail notifications of all upcoming meetings and events, please subscribe to our announcement list by using the form on the Contact Us page.

- The meetings are very informal and non-structured. Some members attend primarily for social reasons, so if you're more interested in the chat, tea and biscuits, join the group of mothers sitting down.
- Expectant parents, partners, doting relatives, childcare professionals, older siblings all welcome.
- If you have a carrier, bring it with you even if you don't use it/have never used it.
- All demonstrations are done according to demand. Look around for little groups of 2-5 people practising a carry, and don't hesitate joining in to observe and ask questions, it's your chance to learn and exchange tips. Whatever you do, DO NOT WAIT PATIENTLY for your turn! Your turn may never come - you have to jump in and claim it.
- If you need help with something in particular, be sure to approach one of the regulars and let them know. Often the meetings are very busy or people get sidetracked, so if you came for a specific problem make sure you get some attention. NOTE: basic sling usage does not require one-to-one attention. See point above ;)
- If you'd prefer to receive email notifications about future meetings and events, please subscribe to our announcement list by using the form on the Contact Us page.
- If you need urgent help and cannot make it to a meeting, email and we may be able to arrange for someone to meet with you privately.

BubHub has hosted our monthly sling meets during November '09 - March '10. There is a strong connection (and some membership overlap) between the two groups, and no doubt there will be more joint meetings and/or events in the future.
BubHub has their own sling collection (amongst various other resources!) and many of its members are experienced sling users. As BubHub's meetings are weekly, they can be an opportunity to get some carrier help if you can't make it to the scheduled sling meet. Please check their website for more information and their facebook page for latest news and their meeting schedule.VENUE: Lower Hall, St Mary Magdalen Community Centre, 55 Upper North Street, Brighton, BN1 3FH ENTRANCE: £2 per family. All proceeds go towards hall hire. Refreshments provided. Also available are the usual BubHub resources. Please be aware that space in this venue is limited. You are welcome to bring your pushchair if needed, but please leave it in the allocated pushchair area and if possible do fold it down when not in use.
During the summer we to meet outdoors, and often these meetings can be very short notice as we try to double-guess the weather. Locations vary, but our favourites are mostly St. Anne's Weell Gardens and the Level. If during the summer months you would prefer to meet outdoors and you have a good spot to suggest, please let us know.
No fee, donations welcome (suggested donation £1)
